Native Visforms for Joomla 5 Released
Just a few days after the release of the first stable Joomla 5 version, we released Visforms for Joomla 5. This was version 4.4.0. Visforms 4.4. is a transitional version that runs on both Joomla 4 and Joomla 5. It requires the Joomla plugin 'Behaviour - Backward Compatibility'.
Today we have released the Visforms Base package and the Visforms Subscription 5.0.0. They are native products for Joomla 5. You no longer need the Joomla plugin 'Behaviour - Backward Compatibility'.
Even if Joomla 4 and Joomla 5 look very similar on the outside, the underlying structure is fundamentally different in many places. Joomla is continually adapting to the latest technology standards. Therefore, extensive structural and code changes were also necessary to develop a Visforms version that is natively compatible with Joomla 5.
Visforms Base Package and Visforms Subscription 5.0.0 are beta versions. The update does not appear in the Joomla Update Manager. You need to manually download the installation files from our website and install them manually using the Joomla Installer.
Please test Visforms and Visforms Subscription 5.0.0 thoroughly before using it on a productive system.
Visforms Base Package and Visforms Subscription 5 are no longer compatible with Joomla 4. They cannot be installed on Joomla 4.
