Hi.
I have used forms in Greek.
All OK with translation, however I have noticed something.
With Drop down selection I have used the type "Select"
1) The first one used,... Choose a value... has been changed automatically ok to - Παρακαλώ επιλέξτε -
2) all others have not changed. -- still remains at Choose a value
I have tried to find string via language override.. cannot find an appropriate string.

Please refer to link to see the : www.ygeiagiapanta.com/el/%CE%B5%CE%B3%CE...%CE%B9%CE%BA%CE%AE-2

any suggestions...
maybe there is a specific string for the change via joomla...(language override)

Regards
Vangelis

Hi,
this is strange.
Have you maybe entered "Choose a value" the form option "Empty Option Text" in those fields, where the translation does not work?

Have you tried to enable the "Debug language" in the Joomla! Configuration. Are there maybe any language errors?

Regards,
Aicha

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.

Thank you for coming back to me. Yes, when I activate Debug language in joomla, it fixes it. Greek Language. When I turn it off, problem comes back again.. If I leave it on... I get ** everywhere

Hi,

the purpose of the "Debug language" is, that you can check, whether there are errors in language files (in the debug section, which should then be displayed at the bottom ot the page). This is a Joomla! feature and has nothing to do with visForms in specific. That you see the ** when you enable the debug language, is normal. The purpose of "Debug language" is not to fix any problems with incorrect translation files.

I'm sorry to inform you, that I cannot help you with this problem for free.As stated at the bottom of the site, where you can download the visForms translation files: "vi-solutions has no control over the correctness of any translation except the English (United Kingdom) and German (Deutschland)."

So if you want me to check into this, I have to charge for my time and I would need an Akeeba Backup of the Website, so that I can run it in my local test and debug environment.

Regards,
Aicha
