Documentation Plugin Content Data View - questions was created by michaelh@notabandoned.org
Hi - I have two questions on this feature after reading through the online documentation

1- Can you create this view where the a user with full edit permissions can see all submissions? the normal detail view has this but I cannot get this custom view to do this and not seeing it in the parameter list
2- Can the edit icon be added as well as the view icon? not seeing this in the parameter list either

Hi,

the purpose of the Plugin Content Data View is, to be able to select specific record sets of one given form inside an Joomla! article.

With one instance of the plugin (one plugin string in your article) you can only display data of one given form. But you can have an instance of the plugin for each form inside one article.

Views with edit link, can only be created with a menu item (Type "MySubsmissions" or type "Form data with edit link"). It is not possible to add a edit link to the output of the plugin.

I tried to write an article that gives an overview about what you can do with which data view in front end. Maybe you have not found this article yet, because it is in the Visforms documentation and not the plugin documentation.

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:
docs.joomla-5.visforms.vi-solutions.de/en/docs/
Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.
Please only ask 1 question per topic :-).
