Custom error text was created by mandrake63
After many attempts, I still receive default error messages instead of custom error text on my fields check.

Where's my mistake?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Max,

I looked into the code and there are some conditions when to show the customerrortext.

Customerrortext is used only if

Field is mandatory
or
fieldtype is text

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.

Thanks so much, but not solved :(

Look at this image link:

s16.postimg.org/6wwpn9awl/custom_error_text.jpg

(pay attention to select image file to attach, because I receive this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/visoluti/public_html/components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.image.upload.php on line 45

Hi Max,

on your website the JavaScript validation of form (before submit) doesn't work.

Visforms has a second security layer and validates the submitted form data with PHP. What you see are the error messages of that PHP validation and because this is only a second security layer I just didn't even think on using the custom error texts.

The question is, why does JavaScript validation not work on your website? For that is the real problem. Did you turn it off? Or is there maybe a JavaScript conflict on your website (between your template and visforms). You may check here

vi-solutions.de/en/enjoy-joomla-blog/87-...h-funktioniert-nicht

to find a solution.

If not, could you send me a link to your website (if it is not on a local test server)? Then I could check.

Kind Regards,
Aicha

I know this isn't the right way, but I've translated file "en-GB.com_visforms.ini" and now I have messages in italian (but default messages )....

Keep hoping in right solution..... ;)

Hi Max,

thanks for the link.

There is a JavaScript incompatibility on your website.

Please try the JQueryEasy plugin. (link below).

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-en...jquery-scripts/18327

I just downloaded the template you use. On my test system I have the plugin - it's a system plugin - installed and enabled. In the "Basic Site Options" of the plugin I have set the parameter "Enable JQuery" to "jQuery". Thats all. With those settings the conflict is solved on my test system and visforms works together well with the template.

Kind Regards,
Aicha
