Whitelist was created by Dennis
I take it that the whitelist IP & whitelist email are each restricted to a single entry. What is the possibility of making them lists?

It's a comma separated list of as much IP's or e-mail-Adresses as you need.

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:
docs.joomla-5.visforms.vi-solutions.de/en/docs/
Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.

Hi!

Thanks for the extension.

Can I use the whitelist-feature to just allow registrations from a certain domain (e.g. "@gmail.com") and automatically block all other registrations?

Thanks in advance!

Tobi

Hi Teletobi,

well that's quite an other intention than locking out spammers, that are listet in spammer databases and give the possibility of putting some admins on a whitelist.

For now, I only look, if the complete e-mail-String of the user matches a part of the e-mail whitlist. So "@gmail.com" wouldn't work.

I'm not sure either, if I want that feature for a spanbot preventing plugin, because than all spammer from "@gmail.com" would prevail. Setting up the plugin parameters properly would become more confusing, a matter of fact I don't like very much.

Aren't there other plugins shaped especially for what you want?

Hello

First of all, thank you very much for your excellent plugin, it stopped the vast majority of spammer registrations on our website.

I would however agree with Teletobi that a generic email address would be extremely useful for the white list. We have many users on our website coming from a few organisations, but unfortunately these organisations are behind a server/firewall which IP is listed in a spammer database. I know we can trust people from these organisations and therefore would like to add the generic email address (@organisation.com) in the whitelist. At the moment the user has to be created manually for each request.

Kind regards,

OT

Hello ot-website,

you wrote

That sounds to me, that it is a static IP? You could list the IP on the IP-Whitelist, then.
