User email as sender was created by GeorgeOnLine
Hello all,
there is any way to use the own email address of registered users as sender of the form data?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

doing this (sending a mail with the registerd user email as sender) would very effectively result in getting the mail flagged as spam and not being sent or received at all (we tried this in the past).

It is not Visforms that restricts you in this case, but what webmailer and email clients deem suspicous. Because the mails would not be send properly by the webmailer, we do not offer this option.

The email address will be added as "replay to" to the mail.

If you are asking, whether you can set the email of a logged in user, as default in a field of type email, then the answer is yes. Just select "Connected user: email" in the "Fill Field With" option of this field.

Regards,
Aicha

Hello, thanks for the quick reply.
I fully understand the reason why what I ask is not possible.

Could I try to solve my needs using the logged in user email (or one set in a field) in the subject or in the body of the mail sent? Is possible to get it as variable, and how?

Thanks.

Great. This definitively help me.

I'm checking it with the placeholders given by a "Select" field type, but seems that the returned value contain the Label text instead of the field value. possible?

Radio buttons works fine instead.

Marco

Hi,

take a look here.

www.vi-solutions.de/en/forum-index/19-jo...eturned?limitstart=0

At the moment this is the only solution and you have to make the modifications as described there.

It will be released as a feature with Visform 3.10

Aicha
