Problems importing ckforms into visforms was created by starkiethescot
Hi!
Thank you for this wonderful extension. I am helping a friend get their old J1.5 site upgraded to J2.5, following a hacking.
They had five ckforms on their old site. I followed your helpful instructions -
www.vi-solutions.de/en/tips-vom-joomla-s...visforms-importieren

and in my MySQL I now have the following tables:
j25_visforms
j25_visfields
j25_visforms_1
j25_visforms_2
j25_visforms_3 (...and _4 and _5)

all the data in these tables looks OK and I have removed the columns that you said to remove.

When I go to Visforms component there are no forms being listed. The fields seem to have imported OK, but not the forms.
I am unable to create a new form - I just get the error message "error saving form".

Do you know what I might have done wrong? Can anyone help me please?

Thank you very much!

David

Hi David,

could you send me the sql's via email (see contact mail below). I'll check that.

Hi David,

thank you for sending me the file which made it possible to solve the problem.

I want to share the information with other users of our forum.

When I developed visForms I added some new fields to the visforms and visfields tables. These are fields like "language" that are new standard fields for every table since Joomla! 1.6.

The first step in my instruction "install visforms component first" was meant to create the empty tables (visforms and visfields) including all new fields.

"do not use drop table if exists" in the later steps should prevent that the new tables are dropped and replaced by the old table structure.

Somehow this didn't work with your update.

Similiar problems can be detected. There have to be fields like "checked_out" or "checked_out_time" in table visforms and visfields and fields like "language" in table visforms.

Similar problems can be solved by using the create table statements in the file install.utf8.sql in administrator/components/com_visforms/sql folder which will create the right table structures. (Adapt the table prefix to your requirements). Afterwards you can run insert statements with your data.

Kind Regards,
Aicha
